“Holiday Echoes”— Dynamic Light Dialogue of the Mouth of Truth
Taking the Mouth of Truth from the “lie-detector” scene in Roman Holiday as the carrier, dynamic light effects are realized via MadMapper: Technically, it precisely matches the texture of the relic, making digital light flow along the physical object; artistically, it reinterprets traditional symbols with flowing light, recreating classic movie imagery; culturally, it connects past and present — the Roman symbol that once carried longing for sincerity is now “revived” by digital technology, awakening memories of the movie and ancient culture while adapting traditional symbols to contemporary communication.

I first explored available formats, choosing "Line Patterns" in Generators — the light interaction effect felt uniquely fitting.
[2] Projection Object & Pathing
Initially, I chose sculptures as the projection target, but switched to flat sculptures (the Mouth of Truth) due to complex surfaces. I used anchor points to draw paths along its contours.
[3] Effect Tuning
I adjusted the light path effects and color presentation, then repeatedly refined the settings after switching to full-screen mode.
